How to use it

Short guides. Annotated screenshots. Ongoing reminders. Chip hide. No fluff. Let's go.

Guides

Three views. What each one does.

1. Home screen

Your one task for right now, plus the timer and quick actions. This is the focus surface. Keep it simple.

2. Connect Notion

Pull to-dos from Notion when you want them. Keep setup bare-bones.

Bare page + to-do list

All you need is a bare Notion page per project with a simple to-do list on each page. No fancy databases. One page = one project or client. Notion's free plan works.

Forever reminders? See Ongoing reminders below.

Never paste your Notion token in chat. Keep it inside the extension only.

3. Week dashboard

See the week at a glance. What's done, what's next. No drowning in detail.

Ongoing reminders

Some Notion to-dos are forever. They sit in an Ongoing list so you don't forget them. You can make one the one thing with This one. They never auto-steal the hero. Yo.

Needs 1.3.14+ for This one on Ongoing (1.3.3+ for callout/quote). After updating, click Reload on chrome://extensions (Load unpacked alone can leave the old worker). Under Ongoing heading, checkboxes, plain lines, bullets, or callout/quote text all count.

How to mark (pick one)

  1. Under a Notion heading named Standing, Ongoing, Standing reminders, or Ongoing reminders (emoji fine, example: ∞ Standing): use checkbox to-dos, plain lines / bullets, or callout/quote text. All show as Ongoing reminders (prefer checkboxes).
  2. Outside that heading, use a checkbox (or line) starting with Ongoing:, Ongoing:, or

What Ongoing does

  • Shows in an Ongoing list as reminders
  • Can be made the one thing (This one) — starts the timer like a normal pick
  • Still cannot be checked off from the app
  • Never auto-steals the hero on sync (finishable preferred); if Ongoing is already the hero, it stays across refresh
  • Your normal to-dos outside that heading / prefix still work as finishable one-things

Quick tip

Keep forever stuff under Standing / Ongoing. Keep "do this today" to-dos in the regular list.

Hide the chip

Want a clean page? Hit × on the chip, or go Settings → Look → turn Show chip off (Hide chip). To bring it back, pick a corner in Settings → Look.

FAQ

Which browsers work?

Chrome only for now. Other Chromium browsers may work with Load unpacked, but Chrome is the supported path.

Is it free?

Yes. Free to download and use. Tips via PayPal are optional. Chip in if it helps. No pressure.

Do I need a paid Notion plan?

No. Notion's free plan works. Use a bare page per project with a simple to-do list. A Standing or Ongoing heading on that bare page still works on free. No fancy databases.

What are Ongoing reminders?

Some Notion items are forever. They sit in an Ongoing list so you don't forget them. Tap This one to make one the one thing; they still never auto-steal the hero. Under a Standing / Ongoing heading, use checkbox to-dos or plain lines / bullets. Outside that heading, use a checkbox starting with Ongoing: or ∞. Callouts and quotes under Ongoing count too. Needs extension 1.3.8+ for This one (site ships 1.3.22).

Can I finish an Ongoing to-do in the extension?

No. You cannot check them off from the app. Done on an Ongoing hero only clears local focus. Edit or check in Notion if you truly want them done.

Do normal Notion to-dos still work?

Yes. Your normal to-dos outside that heading / prefix still work as finishable one-things.

How do I hide the floating chip?

Hit × on the chip, or go Settings → Look → turn Show chip off (Hide chip). To bring it back, pick a corner in Settings → Look. See Hide the chip.
